  • The objective of the Knowledge Management Initiative (KMI) is to bring together the available critical mass of KM experts in Greece and Southeastern Europe, in order to share and exchange the latest developments in the KM domain.

  • The KMI will focus on:
    • The production of a Newsletter,
    • the organisation of Summer Schools,
    • the organisation of Conferences and Workshops and
    • the establishment of a dedicated KM web-site with related material
  Q  When (founded)
   
  • KMI was founded in November 2000. Its first public announcement was made during its first Conference entitled: Knowledge Management & the "Learning Organisation", which was organised in Athens, November 16-17, 2000. During this event international experts in the field were keynote speakers (including Larry Prusak from IBM and Dorothy Leonar from Harvard Yniversity). The event attracted more than 200 people from business and academia.
