Knowledge Economics and 3 laws

Dr Eunika MERCIER-LAURENT

14-Jun-06 11:06am

My purpose and motivation for this book was to show that we are many in the network and we have all our own contribution to the Global Human-Machine Knowledge Innovation.
About my chapter point on 3 laws :

* Knowledge multiplies when shared.
* Innovation value is created when knowledge moves from origin to of highest need.
* Collaboration for mutual leverage provides optimal utilization of tangible and intangible resources.

The role of computer or the future PKA (with AI inside) is to amplify human capacities and perform tasks difficult or impossible for human to do.
1. It can multiply knowledge by symbiotic relation with users (5th generation see KEN), machine learn from user and user from machine. It is able to discover knowledge from database, text, image...from users exchanges on the web, from electronic games...
It is able to build colective knowledge and experience and to connect brains.
2. A Machine (still with AI inside) is able to help in innovation by checking is someone had already my idea, by providing the similar ideas, by reasoning from ideas, checking physical, chemical and other laws, by simulating of influence of my or the others idea on the ecosystems, economy...
It is able to boost innovation through the software such as TRIZ, or other creativity oriented
3. Collaboration - collaborative work tools are available since over 15 years, human has to learn to think differently - some of "KM gurus" and "fathers" are talking about collective adavantage but not applying to themselves.

E. O. Wison remarked that "ethics is everything" and E. Sundrom described "corporate values" as crucial. A searching exnaination of human values, attitudes, and behavior loom as a priority for the immedidate future
I'm really annoyed that I could not log on to the chat room, due to the provider hitting the firewall. Other chat room providers I have used in the past did not have that problem !! Perhaps you should talk to the provider to sort this out ?
Ed, when will the chat log be made available ?
