How can we know everything about technology?

One of the most important requirements of successful activities of a business that operates in high competition is the ability to use the important and correct information well. The use of most sources, the productive processing of enquiries, the corpulence and accuracy of results– these are some characteristics of similar systems for knowledge guidance.
This project is supported in Russia by the organisation „Westj- MetaTechnologia“
What is Convera Retrieval Ware comprised of?
All products of the Convera Retrieval Ware family are build in accordance to a client service architecture. The service part of the system can work in a broad field of a platform– Microsoft Windows NT, UNIX ( Sun Solaris, Linux, IBM/AIX; HP-UX, Digital Alpha und s.w.). Each computer with a web browser can be a client.
The SUBD- System, Postsystem ( Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, Documentum EDMS, FileNET Panagon, Terada Database und s.w.). can be used as information source.
At present, the following instruments (applications) belong to the Convera Retrieval Ware family:
In the centre of all these products, there are two key technologies situated: linguistic and adaptive object recognition ( Adaptive Pattern Recognition Processing, APRP).
Rational Seach
In this case it concerns the known searching methods, that are connected with keywords or textual data.
RetrievalWare provides the possibilty to work with the keywords of the document or directly with the document.
The semantic net
The search will proceed best and bring the best results, when it is carried out with the help of the morphology and semantic of specific languages. That is also beneficial for the user that does not need a template or a difficult formula. The search will proceed a lot faster and more successfully with this technology.
The semantic process will be used more often along the search.
Fistly: a keyword is always used by the enquiry of terms in order to come to a result. In this way synonyms, correct writing of a word and others are to be found.
Secondly: the semantic helps us to find the possible connections to the suitable term, in order to exemplify them further. In this way a person can come up with the possible connections, that will assist us further during the search.
Russian semantics server.
The organisation „Westj-MetaTechnologia“ has developed this Russian Semantics Server (RSS). RSS – the specification of the programme and information for the complete search with consideration of the special features of the Russian language. The morphological and semantical technology determine the cooperation with specific dictionaries.
The dictionary with 240 thousand articles belongs to the morphological analysis. What is important: this dictionary can be made more complete by the user himself. The Russian dictionary is comprised of 90 thousand words and expressions, besides that there are also 350 thousand connections between them.
For comparison: the semantic net for English is comprised of 500 thousand and 1,6 million connections. The Russian user faces though no problem, because all the important words and expressions are incorporated.
The APRP technology.
The mechanism of adaptive recognition of pictures (APRP) has been developed through a research procedure in the area of hard biological systems. Here the information are processed with the help of Neuronetworks.
This technology supports unspecified information search, in order to execute it fast and successfully. This technology does not depend on the language.
Most importantly APRP can be used for different data that are displayed in electronic form. Though when English words are used in the data, which occurs quite often, RetrievalWare is utilised in its original setup.
Here can be found examples on the use of Convera Retrieval Ware Systems (in Russian language)
