When designing an electronic marketplace for knowledge trading, we should have in mind that knowledge is particularly volatile, difficult to capture, classify, and account for. This downloadable paper describes the challenges related to the development of knowledge e-marketplaces from the research perspective, focusing on technical research issues that are related to the ICT enabling infrastructure.
