Event providers walkthrough for new KB events directory
31-Jan-06
In order to promote your events to the KnowledgeBoard community, please follow the following steps.
Remember, you will need to be a KB member, and only one contact identity is available for each organisation. For larger organisations, we suggest you make this your general email address and login - to be shared by your colleagues if you have multiple KB members.
1. Log into KnowledgeBoard and go to the Events Section. Click on 'Add your profile to the events directory'.
(click on the image to open a larger version in a new window)
2. Enter your organisation's information and click submit.

3. The information you entered will be shown as a confirmation.
You can alter it at any time. Please note: the organisations directory is public (unlike the members directory, which is private) so anyone can see your organisations' information - including the email address you select to be contact-able on). If you do not want your organisation to be visible in the directory, please tell the editor.

4. Email the KB editor and request to be made an 'events provider'. The editor will adjust your rights and reply to your email as soon as possible (this may take up to 48 hours but we will endeavour to respond sooner).
5. Log back into KB and you will see the 'Add an event' link in the right hand column of the events section.

The editor will respond and let you know when your organisation now has the appropriate rights to add events to KB.
You can now return to the events section and see the link 'Add an event'.
If anything is unclear or you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email the editor.
