How to register onto the Contactivity wiki
08-Feb-06
In order to take part in Contactivity, you need to register onto the wiki. This is because our aim is to identify what we want to discuss at the event, on the wiki, before the event. Also we will all know who is coming, and what their interests, expertises are.
If you are having problems with this, please do not hesitate to email us and we will set you up ourselves.
It will not be much work - I promise. You not be battered with demands to interact. I will guide you through a gentle process (advised by Martin Leith) designed to co-create our event. By doing this, the event will mean more to us all and we will walk away with more learning.
And part of the event is to explore wikis!
Here is a step by step process to register and sign up to the mailing list:
1. Follow the link on the left hand side of the wiki to 'register'
(click on the image to open a larger version in a new window)
2. Sign up on the Headshift sign up screen.

3. You will go to the Headshift dashboard. Follow the link to Contactivity:
4. You are now logged in onto the Contactivity wiki. You can edit!
Your name will appear in the top right of the screen.

5. Here are the key navigation elements. Go to the Attendee page and let us know you are coming. Please do not fill this in if you are not coming.
On the right hand side is information about which pages have been edited recently and by who. We will explore that another day.
5. Sign up to the Contactivity Announce list. This will only be for short, timely announcements from Ed (e.g. "Two days to go to enter your topic suggestions..."):
Follow this link and fill in your details (all data remains under KB's privacy statement).
If anything is unclear or you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email the editor.
