Final call for papers: Application of semantic technologies

15-Apr-08

The final deadline for submissions for the 3rd International AST Workshop is 25th April 2008.

The event is being help in Munich on 9th September 2008 to showcase the application of semantic technologies.Semantic web is a major international research effort with the goal to make web content available for intelligent knowledge processing. It draws on standard and novel techniques from various disciplines within computer science, including knowledge management, artificial intelligence, databases, internet technology, software agents, ecommerce, etc.

The methods and tools developed and integrated for this purpose – semantic technologies – are generic and have a very large application potential outside the domain of the semantic web. Such applications are currently being investigated in various disciplines within computer science.

This workshop will bring together semantic technology researchers and practitioners to further cross-fertilisation between application areas and help put these technologies into practice. Some of the topics covered include

* Ambient intelligence
* Cognitive systems
* Data integration
* Multimedia data management
* Software engineering
* Bioinformatics
* Digital Libraries

Paper submissions must be in English but not exceed six pages. They must also comply with requirements stated here. Accepted publications will appear as part of a book. To submit your paper, please click here.
