Presentations on knowledge management in Russia

This is the summary of two presentations by Tanya Emshanova, director of Vice Versa Consulting, that deal with knowledge management in Russia.

The first presentation is about the management of organisational knowledge . It considers companies to be open systems and shows the main paths (tri “K”-ita) that lead to success. Intellectual organisation is very important for a company and enables it to gain an advantage over competitors. The presentation analyses business and presents the structure of KM. It also shows what companies can achieve if they plan their knowledge strategically. Finally, it is discussed for which companies KM is especially important and useful.

The main disciplines of the knowledge economy are discussed in the second presentation. The organisation of KM in small and medium-sized enterprises is at the centre of observation. A knowledge strategy that consists of four main steps is developed. The KM goals are discussed as well. Furthermore, this presentation also takes a closer look at organisational change, it’s reasons and why it is necessary.
Finally, the KM organisation of the company “Semizvjet” is presented.
