CoP in the automotive cluster

Hi Mounib,

Yesterday we had the seminar about CoP and we had the opportunity to talk with Michael Kelleher. The event joined together in the same room SMEs, Universities, Labs, Researchers and Associations (Automotive, Moulds, and Textiles).

This event was the first held by INOCOP, an EQUAL project that will use the CoP concepts to foster innovation and cross pollination in the automotive car suppliers.

What i like most in this project is the idea of CoP serving as a facilitator in establishing bridges between the different knowledge and expertise of so different SMEs.

Thanks for asking,
Mónica

PS - The translation would have been something like this:

"The value of Communities of Practice (CoP) in sharing knowledge and information as been widely debated here in KnowledgeBoard. We even have a special SIG where
CoP interested members of KB join and debate (ver SIG CoP, Special Interest Group of Communities of Practice).

In Portugal where going to have the opportunity to share experiences with Michael Kelleher. He's going to talk about to talk about the implementation of inter-sectorial CoPs for fostering development in R&D.

The visit to Portugal of Prof. Michael Kelleher, is due to an european EQUAL project - INOCOP Innovation and Performance Improvement in the Automotive Cluster in Portugal.

The focus of the project resides in the creation of CoPs between different teams of R&D from different SMEs from the automotive cluster, facilitating bridges between the different sectors for the development of commum R&D projects."
